- What’s your real story?: We are close friends of the Dystopian militia, have been to Dystopian weekend, and have been bouncing around this kind of scene for a few years now. We love any excuse (although we don’t need one) to go all out on a costume and party the week away. We heard about Wasteland weekend last new years when I won tickets in a dance contest at the Firefly, where we participated in a Thunderdome. We are composed of 4 animal lovers, including one chef, and a pre-med student.
- What is your fictional story? (Explain your cohesive look here).: In the post-apocalypse, many animals will compete with wastelanders for our scarce resources (or if we are lucky they will become our resources), while others will have simply become mutated, or rabid. We, the Vetz, will have vast experience with animals prior to the apocalypse, making it easy for us to hunt them, since we know how to identify their weaknesses. That will give us an edge to help protect the wasteland against rabid and mutant animals. Although we will be tattered and worn in our old lab coats, furs, and bandages, our knowledge and vaccines will be invaluable against mutant forms of rabies and could serve as a great bartering tool. Our mission is to protect the wastelanders from mutant animal threats to the camp and to research a cure for the infected.
