Fictional Backstory: Dukes of the Nuke. The name carries quite the weight up and down of what remains of the western seaboard. The Dukes are made up of surviving members of what was once the U.S. military. They run a small operation with a wide and expansive market: gun running. These days, people need protection and are willing to pay anything to get it. “If you don’t see it, we haven’t stolen it yet”. The Dukes spend their time in the wastelands plundering into places long forgotten by most to keep their inventory of weapons and supplies restocked – old military bases, left-over supply caches – anything they can get their hands on. Slaughtering local bandits always seems to be a good way to replenish supplies and wow the towns folk into considering purchasing some “home protection” for themselves. This has kept The Dukes alive and in profit since the bombs fell. This has made them a prime target for most gangs roaming the west coast. However, The Dukes’ reputation in bartering has proven them to be a tribe not to be fucked with.
