Disregard any street grids you see on enhanced satellite images – there are only dirt roads in the area with no civilization in sight. Please note scale when viewing satellite images.

Directions:

From Los Angeles:

  • Take I-5 Freeway north. Merge onto CA-14 towards Palmdale.
  • About an hour later, you’ll be in Mojave, CA. Look for the right turn t0 continue on CA-14.
  • Exit at California City Blvd, turn right. This will lead you to downtown California City, which is about 7 miles from the freeway.
  • Once you’ve passed the McDonald’s, you will turn left at Randsburg Mojave Road.
  • Randsburg Mojave Rd. becomes 20 Mule Team Pkwy. (After about 15 minutes, you will cross Rutgers Rd, at which point the road will look less maintained. You will have about 2 miles to go until the turn-off. You are almost there – look for the Wasteland Weekend signs – most of the dirt roads are unmarked.)

From San Diego:

  • Take I-15 Freeway north. Take I-215 towards Riverside. Merge back onto I-15.
  • Once over the mountains, look for exit 141. Merge onto US-395 North towards Bishop/Adelanto.
  • An hour later, you should have passed an intersection with CA-58 and are looking for a 4-way intersection with a dirt road called Cuddeback Road. Make a left at Cuddeback Road.
  • Cuddeback Road is dirt road for about a mile, after which it turns into a paved road. Once on the pavement, expect to see a Wasteland Weekend turn-off sign in about 5 miles.

From Central/Northern California:

  • Take CA-58 through Bakersfield and over the Tehachapi pass towards Mojave/Barstow.
  • Just as you are entering the desert, take exit 165. Turn left toward California City (north).
  • This road turns into California City Blvd., which will lead you to downtown California City after about 10 miles.
  • Once you’ve passed the McDonald’s, you will turn left at Randsburg Mojave Road.

Note: H Park is a 20-Acre park surrounded by open desert. Any roads represented in the image above are purely dirt roads for city planning use only. Although Wasteland Weekend will be erecting a fence around our compound, there are no currently existing barriers.This is open desert.
